Hey! About 9:10 USA CST did some shiny gold blind you for a second? Well, here’s the deal. I was off work today and was fortunate to get some good sleep and awoke at about 7 feeling pretty good. (insert DMP excerpt here: “I feel alive and energetic when I awake.”)
I put my workout clothes on and picked up a few things that were out of place in the bedroom (weird. . . I would have walked past them two months ago . . . do it now. . .) Then I fired up my computer and INSTEAD of going to facebook first, I went to the Alliance area of MKMMA and read some and commented some. Then I started working on my blog post for the week.
The only thing I knew I was going to write on was the quote from Emmet Fox that I started with. Then the rest started coming – and I hunted around for some images to add, and I was proofreading it when I glanced at the clock – 9:10. I hit ‘save’, jumped up, ran down to the kitchen to get my work-out supplements, jumped in the car and drove to Jazzercise (insert SMART goal from POA card for PPN True Health here: “Jazzercise at least 3 times a week and walk at least three times a week” ) and the next thing I knew, I was checking in for the 9:30 class. In the past, I would have thought of many reasons why I shouldn’t go. Not today!
Here’s the funny part – it has been DANG COLD here on the dusty plains of Kansas for the last ten days and I jumped in the car wearing only workout shorts, a sleeveless T and a hoodie. No wallet, no sweatpants, no coat, no gloves. And I drive a 21 year old van that won’t heat up for at least 20 minutes.
When I got there, I realized: MY SUBBY MADE THE DECISION! It linked the time on the clock to my 9:30 class and popped my happy rear end up out of the chair and deposited me in my proper place to start movin’ and groovin’! . . .AND I had more fun that a human being should be allowed to have in that class, . . . AND I worked the routines with enTHUSIasm (insert Italian/Polish/New England accent here 😉 ) . . . AND I was outgoing, greeting everyone with a smile, and chatting after class (that’s new) . . . AND I wasn’t bugged by the lady who likes to hog my spot! Woot!
So, that gold flash that hit your eye this morning? Yeah, that was me, FINALLY getting it, and a chunk of cement just fell off the Buddha. BAM! And because I can, I’m gonna share a favorite short video from October with y’all (Insert giving and receiving card here: “. . .but I promise I will give something to everyone I encounter.”)
I like your post. It’s very natural and open minded and I have learned a lot. Keep going and will be watching your next posts.
