Since becoming an MKMMAer, I’ve been more tuned into what I read and hear – on TV, on Facebook, Twitter, etc., and in actual conversations with people. By being the observer, I’ve noticed in conversations between people – live or on-line, so many are miserably negative with a sarcastic twist. People put themselves down and continually repeat negative things about them-selves and wear it as a badge of honor. They hide behind labels someone stuck on them and when that person is no longer around, they pick up the
club and hit themselves with it over and over and over. I guess this is the neuronet/peptid deal we learned about earlier. We need our fix of negative crap that our cells are calling out for. (shut-up cells!)
The media doesn’t help. They are pitching products and telling us to “take control” of whatever – our weight, our gastroesophaeal reflux disease, our nasty home that should have an open concept, an ensuite and hardwood floors throughout! If the watchman at the gate is asleep, we believe all this stuff and believe that our magical, perfect life is only a diet, remodel, or little purple (or blue) pill away!
By joining up with the merry band at MKMMA, I have learned where the magical life is. It is found at the end of the rainbow that is stitched together with trust, committment, fidelty to the excercises, mental relaxation, substitution, giving, enthusiasm, reading, loving, growth, coloring, receiving, serving, practice, forgiveness, and hard work.
The cement is thick, but the MKMMA hammer is the biggest, baddest, tool anyone is handing out – and it comes with a bonus – a real, live, person who cares about your dreams and wants you to succeed MORE than you do, because they know what’s at the end of the rainbow for you!
We all need to get out of our heads, and get into our minds. Let go of where you’ve been, of WHO you’ve been and look ahead to the life you create for yourself.
