I love it when a goal is met – even half of one!
Hey, hey, hey! I’m proud of myself and want to share :-). In my DMP this year, I set a goal to earn two of three Jazzercise attendance challenges this year. They always have three – one in the winter, one in the summer, and an over-all attendance challenge for the calendar year.
If you need a refresher, Jazzercise isn’t what it was when it was created in 1969 – thank goodness! Go find some old YouTube vids if you doubt me – embarrassing even to watch! smh BUT, I did find this one that shows a flashmob with one of the more current songs:
Anyway – the winter challenge was 25 classes in 28 days of February. We had some bad weather this month and my usual 5:15 a.m. class was cancelled several times – which threw me out of my comfort zone having to go to afternoon classes, and of course, I had to pick up weekend classes to make the goal.
The prize was a really cute shirt – which I photographed and fashioned into my banner photo above (and my facebook timeline cover 🙂 ) The point, I believe, is to keep us going, even in the bad weather, and it did that!

This body that was at rest, and was tending to stay at rest, rose to the challenge, and even though it was tough to do day after day, once I got this body in motion, it craved being in motion!

In addition to getting me up and going in the winter, having 25 classes in February to add to my 15 from January gets me a great start to the 150 class per year challenge. I’m hoping the summer challenge won’t be during my vacation later, but if it is, I know I’ll crush the 150 challenge! Bring it on!
What challenge are you going to meet next?

Congratulations again! This is a big accomplishment to reach this time of year, when you are facing bad weather, bad driving conditions, & less sunshine (which can affect moods/motivation). Very proud that you stayed strong and finished! Woot! Woot! 🙂
My next challenge is 48 hours of silence, commencing later tonight!
Good for you, Laura! I know you will love it!
Nancy, what a huge accomplishment! You could have made every excuse in the book but you rose to the challenge instead of putting it off. So, very proud of you!! Keep on persevering!
Thanks, Michelle! I appreciate your kind words!
