We had a GREAT tribe call on Wednesday night!
There were only six of us there, but the participation was great, the conversation lively!
First topic – integrating our “future selves” into our present selves, and we had some serious discussion about how, when we continually refer to out “future selves” we are, in fact, using a sophisticated ploy to put off into the future what needs to be done NOW. So – no more, “what my future self desires”, or “when my future self succeeds,” etc.! Your future self is here NOW!!! So go get’ em!
Our conversation wandered into the subject of PPN’s, and I confessed that I was laboring under the wrong one for a couple of years, thinking it was one I ‘should’ do – jeeze – cement much?!?! It was True Health – and when I changed it to Recognition for Creative Expression, my true heath improved!
Our tribe is wonderful in supporting and challenging each other, and this call was no different. So – I was challenged to show some of my old photography work. I had a small, quiet, photography business for about seven years, and while I’m still doing some projects here and there, my business closed in 2014.

I shared with a friend that although I love landscape/nature/architecture images, and respect and admire those who capture them, as a photographer myself, it bores me to tears to do that.
I want to capture the spirit of a person – that which makes them unique. It’s funny to me, how when I work with someone, I “know” when I get “THE ONE”. I never say anything, but wait for the subject to tell me which is their favorite – and usually it is the one I felt was ‘it’!

The next several images are from high school senior sessions. They are my favorite! But I said earlier, Maternity is my favorite. I guess my favorite is whatever I’m working on at the time!

A clue to know your true PPNs?
Do you get excited when you think about what you’re doing? Can others feel your en-THOOS-iasm when you share with them? Does it give you great satisfaction and joy when you’re doing that thing? That’s a clue! Go do more of that!
Thanks for walking down memory lane with me. Do you have a favorite of these images I’ve shared? I’d love to know!

Good going, Nancy, for stepping up to the plate. I will gladly do my 2 minute presentation on our next Zoom Call. Thanks so much.
It is going to be great, John!
