“I don’t believe people are looking for the meaning of life
as much as they are looking for the experience
of being alive.”
“We are born golden, we are born high, we are born knowing, we are born connected to our bliss, we are born knowing truth, we are born knowing everything that every great spiritual master has ever said. We were one with the Christ, the Buddha, everyone, but; then we went to school and they said, ‘You have to dress like this, and this is what boys do, and this is what girls do. This is what black people do, this is what white people do,’ and on and on – and so we develop a casing of stone over the Buddha to the point where at a very young age, maybe four, five, six or seven, we believed that we were the stone Buddha, not the Golden one. And then, something comes along to crack our casing. Maybe it’s an injury, a divorce, a financial setback, governmental change. Something that really scares us and bugs us and knocks off a piece of our armor, and only in that moment of the armor being knocked off do you get to get to look inside and see the gold. And let me tell you, friend – that the moment you see that gold , the armor and the concrete will never satisfy you again. At that point, you truly enter the true hero’s adventure and all you want to do for the rest of the rest of your life is pick away the stone, because the gold is so much more fun.” – A. Cohen
As explained very well in the movie, “Finding Joe”, the three phases of the Hero’s Journey are:
Separation – something happens to awaken you
Initiation – “It is by going down into the abyss that we recover the treasures of life. Where you stumble, there lies your treasure.”
Return –
“Follow your bliss and the universe will open doors for you where there were only walls.”
Is your life what you want it to be? Have you found your bliss?

And one more time, because I can –
