This week the exercise in Haanel’s “The Master Key System” was to let go of all adverse conditions, such as hatred, anger, worry, jealousy, envy, sorrow, trouble or disappointment of any kind.
Ha! Mr. Haanel. You expect me to let go of all that? How am I supposed to do that!?!?!
The first thing is to be aware. Become the observer and listen and watch yourself as you interact with others and be aware of what you’re thinking! When we hear of see something, so often we react instead of stopping to think. Are we reacting with anger, fear, worry? Are we jealous of another’s success? Do we carry such high expectations of others that we are constantly disappointed? There are so many thoughts that come unbidden – slow down and examine them. See how much of your thought life revolves around the negative.
Then let it go.
I visualize a balloon with the adverse condition attached to it, and let it go.
